The Earnest & Edna Shepherd Youth Center stands as a beacon of hope and opportunity for young people in our community. Since 1962, we've provided a nurturing environment where kids and teenagers can discover their potential, develop their talents, and forge lasting memories. Our mission is to empower young people to become responsible, confident citizens through educational, leadership, and recreational programs.

Our History & Heritage

Born from the vision of a close-knit community, the Earnest & Edna Shepherd Youth Center began its journey in the 1960s. Generous donations from philanthropist Edna Shepherd, along with the unwavering support of local residents and organizations, transformed the landscape of youth development in Liberty, Missouri.

Over the years, we have evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of our young population. Today, we offer a diverse array of programs and activities that cater to their diverse interests and developmental stages.
