The Rusty Nail Winery

At The Rusty Nail Winery, we are passionate about bringing the magic of wine country to the heart of Southern Oklahoma. Our boutique winery is a haven for both locals and travelers alike, offering a unique space to unwind and indulge in the finest wines. We are a family-owned and female-led business, dedicated to providing an exceptional experience that combines wine tasting, gourmet dining, and unforgettable events.

Our journey began with Debbie, the matriarch of our family, who started making wine as a hobby. Her passion for winemaking was infectious, and soon, friends and family were asking for her delicious creations. This led to the opening of The Rusty Nail Winery on September 25, 2010. Today, Debbie and her daughter Melissa run the business together, with the rest of the family providing support in various capacities.

Our Name & History

The Rusty Nail Winery's name is a nod to the rich history of our building. When we moved into our current location in downtown Sulphur, Oklahoma, in 2010, we discovered buckets of rusty nails in the far corners of the space. Upon further investigation, we found out that our building was originally constructed in 1906 and was once home to a hardware store. This discovery sparked our interest in the history of our space, and we decided to honor it by naming our winery after the rusty nails we found.

Our building is older than the state of Oklahoma and has been placed on Oklahoma's National Register of Historic Places as part of the downtown Sulphur commercial district in 2001. We are proud to be a part of this historic district and are committed to preserving its heritage.

At The Rusty Nail Winery, we are passionate about producing high-quality wines that cater to a variety of tastes. We offer a range of wines, from sweet to dry, and everything in between. Whether you're a seasoned wine connoisseur or just starting your wine journey, we have something for everyone.

We are also proud members and supporters of several organizations, including the Oklahoma Grape Industry Council (OGIC), Davis Chamber of Commerce, Sulphur Chamber of Commerce, Oklahoma Agritourism Adventure Road, and the Sulphur Main Street District. Additionally, we are a preferred vendor for the Chickasaw Nation.

Events & Activities

At The Rusty Nail Winery, we believe that wine should be enjoyed in good company. That's why we host a variety of events throughout the year, from live music performances to Cork & Canvas painting classes. Our events are designed to provide a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere where you can unwind and make lasting memories with friends and family.

We also offer private event spaces for special occasions, such as weddings, corporate events, and birthday parties. Our dedicated team will work with you to create a customized event that meets your unique needs and preferences.

The Winery, The Bistro, & Area Attractions

We also offer wine and food pairings, as well as gourmet dining options at our on-site bistro.

In addition to our winery and bistro, we are conveniently located near several area attractions, including the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, the Artesian Hotel, and the Sulphur Springs.
