Our Beginnings

Door County Scrap Metal emerged in 2015 as a passion project fueled by a desire to serve our community. Led by Travis Mueller and Hilary Heard, alongside their parents Randy and Chris Mueller, we envisioned a scrap yard that would prioritize local impact and responsible practices. Sadly, Randy passed away in 2018, but his spirit remains within our company. Today, Travis, Hilary, and Chris remain dedicated to upholding his vision.

Investing in Community

Our core value, "Investing in Community, " drives everything we do. We believe in supporting those who support us, and that includes initiatives that strengthen the fabric of our beloved Door County. Our annual Christmas Light Drive, for example, collects unusable holiday lights, generating funds to benefit local families in need.

• Ferrous Metals: Steel, stainless steel, aluminum cans, insulated and uninsulated wire, nails, scrap metal.
• Non-ferrous Metals: Brass, aluminum siding, washers, dryers, refrigerators, and more.
• Electronics & Appliances: We are unable to accept electronics or appliances for environmental and safety reasons.
