Jen's Dance Academy

Jen's Dance Academy is a community-oriented dance studio located in the heart of Quincy, IL. Established with a mission to inspire, empower, and enrich the lives of our students, we offer a wide range of dance classes for all ages and skill levels. Our experienced and passionate instructors are dedicated to providing a positive and supportive learning environment, fostering creativity, discipline, and a lifelong love of dance.

At Jen's Dance Academy, we believe that dance is a powerful tool for personal growth and self-expression. Our classes go beyond technique, encouraging students to explore their individual style, build self-confidence, and develop important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and time management.

Classes Offered

We offer a diverse selection of dance classes including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Acrobatics. From beginner to advanced levels, there is something for everyone at Jen's Dance Academy. Our classes are designed to accommodate a range of ages, starting from age two and a half, with our Mommy and Me classes, and going up to adults.

In addition to our regular classes, we offer workshops and masterclasses with guest instructors, providing students with unique opportunities to learn from and be inspired by industry professionals.

Facilities

Jen's Dance Academy is proud to offer state-of-the-art facilities for our students. Our spacious and well-lit studios are equipped with professional-grade dance floors, mirrors, and sound systems. We have two waiting areas for parents and siblings, and we kindly ask that everyone maintains a positive and calm atmosphere, ensuring a distraction-free learning environment for our students.

Our facilities are also wheelchair accessible, and we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming space for all students.

Rules and Expectations

At Jen's Dance Academy, we have a set of rules and expectations in place to ensure a safe, productive, and enjoyable experience for all students. These rules include:

• No running in the hallway
• Siblings must be supervised by their parent or guardian at all times
• Positive and calm communication in all waiting areas
• Being quiet in the reception area and bathroom
• Students are expected to be on their best behavior in class and while in the waiting area before and after classes
• Students must be polite to other students, teachers, and anyone else at the studio
• Foul language is not tolerated
• Students must use the restroom before class and turn off or silence their mobile phones during class
• Students are responsible for their own property, and Jen's Dance Academy is not responsible for lost or stolen items

Participation and Attendance

We encourage all students to participate fully in their classes, approaching them with an open mind and a positive attitude. Regular attendance is crucial for skill development and progression, and students are expected to refrain from unnecessary absences. Our drop-off and pick-up procedures are in place to ensure the safety of our students, and we kindly ask that all students and parents adhere to these guidelines.

Parking

Jen's Dance Academy has a parking lot behind the building, with four reserved spots. These spots are reserved for instructors and staff, and must not be used by students or parents. There are a few other spots available in the parking lot, and ample parking on Maine Street. Both doors will always be open and well lit, and we kindly ask that all students and parents be considerate of our instructors and staff when parking.
