Hillwood Soccer Club is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to fostering a love for the game of soccer in young people in the Shoreline area of Washington state. Founded on the belief that youth sports should prioritize fun, sportsmanship, and teamwork, HSC offers a positive and supportive environment where children can learn and grow.
What We Do
We offer recreational soccer programs for children between the ages of 5 and 18. Our focus is on providing a balanced approach to youth development, emphasizing personal growth, skill development, and fair play.
Grassroots Recreational Program
- Designed for young players to learn the basics of soccer in a fun and encouraging environment.
- Emphasis on small-sided games, which allow for increased ball possession and individual development.
- Games are held in the neighborhood, allowing for convenient participation for families.
Select Program
- Audition-based program for talented players who demonstrate exceptional technical and tactical abilities.
- Provides a competitive environment for players to develop their skills and compete at a higher level.
- Games are played against other select teams from neighboring communities.
Team Formation
- Teams are formed based on neighborhood boundaries to ensure that players have the opportunity to play with their friends and neighbors.
- Older age groups incorporate more competitive formats like full-field play and goalkeepers.
