Rockfish Camp & Retreat Center

Rockfish Camp and Retreat Center was built on a foundation of love and faith in 1964. Our mission is to help people experience and grow in, and share the love of God through Jesus Christ. Nestled on 486 acres in the Sandhills region of North Carolina, Camp Rockfish is ideally placed for a great experience for all guests.

Our Story

Our retreat center experienced much growth at the end of the nineties with the construction of the Bergland Retreat Center, which has both hotel-style rooms and a conference center, as well as the construction of four additional cabins, each suitable for sleeping up to twenty-four people. Today Rockfish is a welcoming place for all visitors: From businesses utilizing the contemporary conference settings to youth on their confirmation retreat, boy scouts on their first tent camping experience, military groups developing their team dynamic, summer campers of all ages, and everyone in between. Every group is offered dynamic Christian hospitality with the hope that they experience the love of God in Jesus Christ.

Our Services

Rockfish Camp and Retreat Center is more than you might expect. We are more than just a summer camp; we are open 12 months a year, 7 days a week, for all types of events and retreats. Our services include summer camps, retreats, team-building activities, scouting, after-school programs, and outdoor education. We offer a wide range of activities such as kayaking, river exploration, and worship sessions. Our program leadership can help you design and implement a life-changing retreat from the ground up. We also offer fantastic facilities, including hotel-style rooms, a conference center, and cabins, which can be supported by our staff.

Meet the Team

Our team is led by Casey Perry, Camp Director, who believes that all of our life experiences help prepare us for exciting times learning and discovering God's wonder. Casey is honored to help lead our dynamic team to answer Christ's call for our campers, families, churches, and the world. Our team also includes Jess Horvath, Program Director, who builds group dynamics and communication, and Heather DeTar, Office Manager, who is no stranger to Camp Rockfish.
