Who We Are

At Angels on Horseback, we are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing therapeutic equine-assisted activities to individuals with mental, physical, or emotional disabilities. Our mission is to cultivate growth and development through the powerful bond between humans and horses. We offer a range of programs and services designed to promote strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and self-confidence in our participants.

Our Services

At Angels on Horseback, we offer a variety of services, including Equine-Assisted Activities (EAA) and Equine-Facilitated Learning (EFL). Our EAA program includes therapeutic riding, which is mounted horseback riding designed to promote cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being. Our EFL program is an educational approach to equine-assisted activities, focusing on developing life skills, self-esteem, and self-awareness.

Our team of instructors, board members, and volunteers are dedicated to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our clients and their families. Our instructors are certified in adaptive teaching methods and have received training from PATH International, a leading organization in the field of equine-assisted activities. Our volunteers are an essential part of our team, and their contributions have a profound impact on our clients and their families.

About Our Center

Located in Jasper, Georgia, our center serves clients from Cherokee, Dawson, Gilmer, and surrounding areas in North Georgia. Our center is equipped with a state-of-the-art facility, and our horses are specially trained to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
