Our Team

Our team of veterinarians, Dr. McCall and Dr. Cawley, are dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized care for your pet. They are supported by a team of experienced nurses and support staff, including Sherry, our hospital manager, who ensures the smooth operation of our facility.

Dr. McCall

Dr. McCall is a highly-experienced veterinarian who has been with Blackshear Veterinary Hospital since 2013. In her spare time, Dr. McCall enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and pets.

Dr. Cawley

Dr. Cawley is a native of North Carolina who moved to Tifton when she was in second grade. She received her undergraduate degree in poultry science from the University of Georgia in 2015 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Cawley enjoys advising clients on how to keep their backyard chickens happy and healthy.

Sherry Smith

Sherry is our hospital manager, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. She enjoys gardening and spending time with her family and pets.

Abigail Durden

Abigail is our pharmacy technician and director of compliance, responsible for efficiently connecting with clients to schedule appointments and ensure patient follow-ups.

Jay Green

Jay is our veterinary assistant, working alongside our veterinarians to provide care for our patients. In his free time, Jay enjoys exploring the outdoors with his family and their three pets.

Sherri Ruch

Sherri is our veterinary assistant, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting our veterinarians in their work.

Nikki Breedlove

Nikki is our client service representative, responsible for ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service and support.
