NC Center for Counseling and Psychological Services is a thriving collective of skilled clinicians dedicated to providing an extensive range of psychological services across several locations. Our team is comprised of compassionate and experienced professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional care to every individual we serve. We understand that seeking help can be challenging, and we strive to create a warm, welcoming environment for all our clients.

Our services encompass various aspects of mental health, including psychotherapy, counseling, assessment, and evaluation. We are currently accepting new referrals for testing and evaluations only, and we look forward to expanding our therapy and counseling services in the near future. Our Team

Elizabeth Shaw, PhD - Practice Co-Founder/Co-Director

Dr. Elizabeth Shaw is a licensed psychologist with 35 years of experience in adult and child psychotherapy and assessment. Throughout her career, she has been committed to serving a diverse population in various mental health settings. Dr. Shaw specializes in anxiety, depression, mindful eating, grief, end-of-life family consultations, and parenting classes. Her exceptional listening skills and ability to empathize make her a valuable resource for those seeking improved life satisfaction.

Heather Currin LPA, LCAS, CCS - Practice Co-Founder/Co-Director

Heather Currin is a dually licensed Psychological Associate and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, with over 10 years of experience helping children, adolescents, and adults. Her expertise includes conducting comprehensive psychological, neuropsychological, cognitive, and substance use evaluations. Heather has worked with clients dealing with various issues, such as drug and alcohol addiction, depression, anxiety, and trauma. She is also dedicated to providing psycho-educational presentations on substance abuse to the public.

Jana Wilson, LPA - Practice Co-Founder/Co-Director

Jana Wilson is a Licensed Psychological Associate with over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in various clinical settings. She has extensive expertise in conducting psychological assessments for neurocognitive disorders, such as those caused by strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and other medical conditions. Jana also provides diagnostic evaluations for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, and other mental health conditions.
