UnderWater Works is a family-owned business founded in 1984 by Kent and Kathy Trione. From its humble beginnings as a part-time job for Kent to teach scuba diving and sell a little dive equipment, the business has grown significantly over the years. Today, we are proud to be one of the leading scuba diving equipment retailers and training centers in the South East region of Alabama.

Dive Gear

At UnderWater Works, we offer a wide range of scuba diving equipment from top brands like Scubapro, Sherwood, Akona, Ikelite, Ocean Reef, Brownies, Sealife, Jbl, A.B.Biller, Tovatec, Sea pearls, Riffe, Omni Swivel, and Trident. We internet price match on all our equipment lines and you can try it before you buy it in our on-site heated pool. Our service technicians are also available to repair your equipment and get you back in the water quickly with our on-site repair facility.

Used Equipment

We buy and sell used equipment. We will buy your old equipment or take it in as a trade towards new equipment. We also accept non-scuba equipment for trade towards new gear. We love to horse trade and it never hurts to ask. If you have any equipment to sell or trade, feel free to contact us.

From its early days with Arlene Jones as the first Manager/Instructor to the current management, the business has been built on a strong foundation of customer service and a love for diving. Today, we continue to strive to provide the best possible experience for our customers, whether you're looking to learn to dive, purchase new equipment, or get your gear serviced.

Learn to Dive

Considering learning to scuba dive? Our highly trained and professional instruction staff with over 40 years of combined teaching experience are ready to get you diving. We offer small classes (1 to 6 people max) in our heated pool on site. Choose from our 3-week Tue\Thur or Mon\Wed class schedules. Whether you're a beginner or looking to advance your skills, we have a course for you.
