Our Story

Jim and Margot Brown, the founders of BeachBum Property Management, have a deep understanding of what makes a vacation truly special. They began their journey in 1996 by purchasing a rental home on Hilton Head Island. Over the years, they noticed a gap in the market for personalized, high-quality service. In 2004, they made the decision to leave their corporate careers behind and focus on building a business that would offer this unique experience. Today, they are dedicated to ensuring that every guest feels like part of the family, with personalized attention and care.

Meet Our Team

Jim, the Property Manager-in-Charge, brings a wealth of experience in hospitality, having worked as an Athletic Director and a Hilton Head Island firefighter. His passion for providing exceptional service is evident in every aspect of the business. Margot, the Business Manager, is a CPA with a background in finance and education. She oversees the financial and administrative aspects of the company, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Together, they have three daughters and are deeply committed to building a business that reflects their values of hospitality and community.
