The Rawal Institute is a renowned medical practice based in Madison, Wisconsin, specializing in hair restoration and aesthetic medicine. We are proud to be the only practice in Madison currently performing surgical hair restoration. Our team is led by Shamila Gupta Rawal, MD, a board-certified otolaryngologist and head and neck surgeon with a particular interest in hair loss management and facial and neck rejuvenation. Meet Dr. Rawal

Dr. Shamila Gupta Rawal is a highly skilled and experienced physician who has dedicated her career to helping her patients regain their confidence through advanced medical and surgical techniques. She graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University's McCormick School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering. She then pursued her medical degree at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Rawal completed a prestigious otolaryngology/head and neck surgery residency program at the University of Illinois. During her residency, she received recognition for her exceptional work and was presented with the Alpha Omega Alpha teaching award.

Dr. Rawal remains passionate about staying current with rapidly evolving medical strategies. She is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. In addition, she is an Associate Member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery. Dr. Rawal has also served as a senior physician advisor, consultant, and subject matter expert for head and neck at AIM Specialty Health in Chicago.
