Our History

Hydrex Pest Control was founded by Robert B. Loibl, Jr., who began working and learning from his father, Robert B. Loibl, Sr., in the pest control industry in the early 1920s. Robert Jr. later started the Lloyd Pest Control Company in San Diego and became a partner with his father in L & N Pest Control. He also founded the Ant-B-Gone Products Company in Los Angeles, California, and then established Hydrex Pest Control Co., Inc. in Los Angeles, California in 1946.

Robert Jr. dedicated his life to developing effective methodologies and products for pest control. He held a number of patents, including the B-Gone series of pest poisons, a vermin exterminator, and the Pestron machine for producing insecticidal vapor. He was committed to keeping homes, workplaces, and public spaces safe and healthy.

Today, Hydrex Pest Control continues to grow and expand its services to over 2000 communities throughout California. Our independently owned and operated franchises provide professional service and utilize proven, state-of-the-art materials and techniques to ensure the best possible results for our customers.
