Schnur's Greenhouse has been a family-owned and operated business since 1889. The story begins with Peter Schnur, who immigrated to the United States from Prussia, Germany, with his family in 1836. Peter's interest in gardening led him to establish a business, which was later passed down through generations. Today, we continue to specialize in annuals, hanging baskets, and vegetables, along with a variety of specialty plants, herbs, perennials, and seasonal flowers.

From our humble beginnings as a small wholesale trade in Butler County to the current operations, we have always strived to provide the best products and services to our customers. Willis Schnur, who took over the business from his parents in the 1950s, made significant improvements to the greenhouse, including the construction of new glass and plastic houses. His son, James, who now runs the business, has continued this tradition of innovation and dedication to quality.
