Transforming spaces, one piece at a time.

At Round River Woodworking, we're passionate about creating custom woodworking pieces that elevate the beauty and functionality of your living space. Located in the Cumberland Valley near Newville, Pennsylvania, our team of skilled craftsmen has been dedicated to excellence since 1982. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has earned us a reputation as one of the premier woodworking companies in the region.

Our History

Round River Woodworking came into being in 1982 and was incorporated in 1995. Our shop, built in 1985, is a post and beam/log hybrid building that reflects our values of hard work, dedication, and a connection to the natural world. The name "Round River" stems from an essay by Aldo Leopold, which speaks to the cyclical nature of life and the importance of reusing, reducing, and recycling. This mantra guides our approach to woodworking, as we strive to minimize waste and maximize the potential of every piece of wood that passes through our workshop.

Our Services

At Round River Woodworking, we offer a wide range of custom woodworking services to homeowners, architects, designers, and contractors. Our expertise includes:

  • Custom exterior and interior trim
  • Cabinets and stair parts
  • Accessories, such as bookshelves, fireplace mantels, and window seats
  • Finish carpentry services
  • Installation of all our products

Whether you're building a new home, renovating an existing space, or simply looking to add a touch of elegance to your living area, we bring talent and experience to every project. Our team takes pride in their work, from concept to completion, ensuring that every piece meets our high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Our Philosophy

At Round River Woodworking, we believe that the art of woodworking is not just about creating beautiful pieces, but also about respecting the natural world and reducing our environmental footprint. We strive to reuse, reduce, and recycle whenever possible, and to work with sustainable materials that minimize waste and maximize the potential of every piece of wood.
