Our Business

Berkshire Mortgage Company is a full-service residential mortgage brokerage firm licensed and regulated by the Massachusetts Division of Banks. We serve all of Massachusetts. Our principals, Ed McMahon and Gloria McMahon, bring over 40 years of experience to all aspects of mortgage financing in both the national and local markets. This includes residential and commercial banking throughout the United States, considerable experience with the direct sales and service of loans to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Mass Housing Finance Agency, as well as extensive appraisal, origination, underwriting, loan processing, and loan portfolio management.

Services

We provide for the placement of home financing for the following: purchases, refinances, construction-permanent. Our loan products include traditional conforming loan products up to $548,250, such as conventional fixed-rate and adjustable-rate mortgages (ARMs). We also offer jumbo non-conforming products for amounts over $548,250. Additionally, we have portfolio loan programs for construction-permanent loans and purchase-rehab and refinance-rehab options. For first-time homebuyers, we offer conventional fixed-rate loans.
