'Empowering a Sustainable Future through Recycling and Logistics'
Established in 1979, A Growing Place Preschool (AGPP) is a non-profit parent-involvement preschool devoted to providing a high-quality educational experience for preschool children and their families. Our philosophy is centered around the belief that children learn best through play, and we strive to create a warm, inviting, and well-equipped setting where students are free and safe to play and learn.
AGPP is committed to providing a comprehensive curriculum that stimulates social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth. Our programs are carefully designed to meet the needs of children at various stages of development.
3/4 Year Old Preschool
Our 3/4 Year Old Preschool program is designed for children who are 3 or 4 years old and not yet eligible for 4K. We offer morning sessions for children 3/4 years old, which provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. Our curriculum is developmentally appropriate and includes experiences in cognitive, intellectual, and social/emotional development.
We offer two class options for our 3/4 Year Old Preschool program:
- 3/4 Year Olds - Green Class: Meets on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:45 am to 11:00 am
- 3/4 Year Olds - Orange Class: Meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:45 am to 11:00 am
4K - 4 Days
AGPP's 4K - 4 Days program is a community-based preschool program for 4-year-old children residing within the DeForest Area School District. We offer both morning and afternoon sessions of 4K at Eagle Point Elementary, as well as a two-day full-day program at the St. Olaf location.
Our 4K program follows the Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards and utilizes the Creative Curriculum as its foundation. Supplemental curriculum includes the Houghton Mifflin "Big Day" thematic curriculum series, Everyday Mathematics, and Second-Step Social/Emotional Curriculum. All of our 4K sections are led by Wisconsin Department of Instruction Licensed Teachers.
Please note that students must be registered with the DASD and will be enrolled into the GT4K program via the school district.
