Our Mission
At the Mobile County Recycling Center, we are dedicated to promoting sustainability and reducing waste in our community. We believe that every small action counts, and by working together, we can make a significant impact on the environment. Our mission is to provide a convenient and accessible recycling drop-off location for the public, while also educating and engaging the community on the importance of recycling and waste reduction.
Our Story
The Mobile County Recycling Center was established in 2014 as a collaborative partnership between Mobile County and Goodwill Gulf Coast. Since its inception, the center has experienced steady growth and has become a vital resource for the community. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, and our team is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all materials are processed efficiently and effectively.
Our Impact
We are proud of the impact we have made in our community. Since our grand opening, we have recycled over 21.7 million pounds of materials, equivalent to filling 63,000 garbage trucks that would stretch halfway to the moon. Our volunteers and community service workers have contributed over 3,926 hours of service, and we have served as a work training program site for local students. We believe that our efforts have made a significant difference in reducing waste and promoting sustainability in our community.
