Our History

Forward Financial Credit Union, rooted in the community since 1948, began its journey as Niagara Papermill Employee's Credit Union. Through the decades, we've expanded our reach, establishing branches in Pembine and Marinette, Wisconsin, and Iron Mountain, Michigan. Our dedication to providing convenient and high-quality financial services that meet the evolving needs of our members remains a cornerstone of our mission.

Membership

At Forward Financial, we believe in financial empowerment for everyone. Our field of membership encompasses a wide range of individuals, businesses, and organizations residing, working, or conducting business in designated counties within Wisconsin and Michigan. We welcome residents, employees, religious organizations, volunteers, and students from Marinette, Florence, Brown, Oconto, and Forest Counties in Wisconsin, and Dickinson, Menominee, Delta, Marquette, and Iron Counties in Michigan.

We also extend membership to immediate family members of those who meet our field of membership criteria. Immediate family includes spouses, parents, step-parents, step-children, grandparents, grandchildren, and other relatives residing in the same household as eligible members.
