At Heads Up Therapy, we are dedicated to providing top-quality pediatric physical and occupational therapy services to children from birth through age 18. Our center is owned and operated by two physical therapists, Kristin Cotone and Patty Kramps Cotter, who also happen to be sisters. Their goal is to provide excellent patient care in a fun, nurturing environment.
Our team consists of experienced and continually trained therapists. We use a multidisciplinary approach toward treatment to achieve the best outcome for our patients. We have excellent relationships with many Orthopedists, Pediatricians, Neurologists, Osteopaths, Physiatrists, and Orthotists. We feel good communication with doctors is essential for progress.

Physical Therapy for Torticollis
At Heads Up Therapy, we have created a treatment program specifically tailored to treat babies diagnosed with torticollis. If your baby has been diagnosed with torticollis, please call and schedule an evaluation as soon as possible. The earlier treatment begins, the better the prognosis.
What should I expect from my child's physical therapy treatment?
- You will be asked questions about your baby's birth and development.
- You will be asked to remove your baby's clothing during the evaluation.
- Your baby will be placed in different positions.
- We will take measurements of your baby's neck to determine how limited movement is.
- The therapist will discuss their findings, placing your child in a mild, moderate, or severe category.
- Recommendations will be made regarding length and number of sessions.
- You will then receive a take-home packet filled with home exercises.
- Each week, your baby's range of motion measurements will be tracked.
- We will communicate with your referring doctor.
- Referrals may be made to specialists if necessary.
Will my baby cry during physical therapy?
Some babies cry when stretched. We have very creative ways to stretch your child. Some babies have even fallen asleep while being stretched.
How long will my baby be in physical therapy?
It all depends on how severe the torticollis is and how actively caregivers work on the home exercises. Parent participation is crucial for recovery.
What should I bring with me to the physical therapy appointment?
Please bring anything that will soothe your baby, such as a pacifier, special toy, or bottle. We also ask that you bring a blanket for your baby to lay on during the evaluation. You may nurse or bottle feed your baby during the session if needed. Feel free to call us with any questions you may have. We absolutely adore babies and would like to ease any of your concerns.
Facilities
Our gym is open for PT and OT services part-time, with one therapist in the gym per day. One child is seen at a time, and the supplies and equipment are sanitized between each session. Gloves and masks are worn by therapists at all times. Contactless temperatures are taken at the door, as we are not opening our waiting room at this time. We continue to provide teletherapy services for PT and OT five days per week.
