Marcellus Nursery, a family-owned and operated retail and wholesale nursery and garden center, has been proudly serving the Syracuse, New York community for over six decades. Our story began in 1962 when our founder, Ted Stetler, graduated from SUNY Farmingdale and purchased 44 acres of farmland in Marcellus, New York. With an initial planting of 800 seedlings, Ted's passion for horticulture took root and blossomed into what is now a thriving 70-acre nursery and garden center.
In 1970, Ted and his wife opened the garden center at our current location on Onondaga Road in Syracuse, NY. This expansion allowed us to share our love for plants and gardening with an even wider audience. Today, Marcellus Nursery continues to be a family business, now managed by Rachel Reynolds, who has been with us for over 26 years. Under her leadership, we have cultivated a loyal following of satisfied customers who appreciate our exceptional service, extensive selection, and commitment to quality.
