Glow Region Solid Waste

The GLOW Region Solid Waste Management Committee has been a beacon of responsible waste management in Western New York since 1987. Formed by the counties of Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming through an Intermunicipal Cooperation Agreement (IMA), our partnership was established to develop strategies for managing solid waste in the region. Over the years, we have continued to adapt and evolve to meet the changing needs of our community, ensuring that our region remains a model for sustainable waste management practices.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide comprehensive waste management solutions that prioritize reduction, reuse, and recycling. We strive to reduce the dependency on land burial of waste, promote environmentally safe practices, and educate our community on the importance of responsible waste management.
