At Orange Street Pottery, we're passionate about providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for ceramic artists of all skill levels. As a non-profit teaching studio, we're dedicated to offering affordable pottery classes to the community, as well as encouragement and support to help our students grow and develop their skills.

Our History

Established by Hiroshi Sueyoshi in 1982, Orange Street Pottery has been a part of the Hannah Block USO/Community Arts Center in historic downtown Wilmington, NC. Over the years, we've grown to become a beloved institution in the community, providing a space for people to come together and explore their creativity.

Our Services

We offer a range of pottery classes, from beginner to advanced, taught by experienced instructors who are passionate about ceramics. Our classes cover a variety of techniques, including hand building, wheel throwing, and glazing. We also offer open studio time for our students to work on their projects and get feedback from our instructors.

Our classes are designed to be flexible and accommodating, with morning, afternoon, and evening sessions available to fit different schedules. We also offer a Friday class that meets once a week for seven weeks, making it an ideal option for those with busy schedules.
