K-Step Montessori is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a high-quality integrated Montessori curriculum with an individualized approach. Our mission is to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can grow and thrive at their own pace. We offer a range of services for children aged 2 months to 7 years, from childcare to early development programs. Our collaborative class community respects the individuality of each child, promoting their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

At K-Step Montessori, we encourage children to explore their diverse interests and talents, fostering a lifelong love of learning. Our approach emphasizes the importance of the first six years of a child's life, as it is during this time that children develop the essential learning skills and habits that will serve them throughout their academic and personal lives. We are proud to partner with financial aid and state-funded programs to support income qualified families in accessing high-quality childcare services and education in Southern California.

Our Montessori Programs

At K-Step Montessori, we believe that every child is unique and should have the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of financial or social challenges. Our programs are designed to support the whole child's development, including their emotional and social growth.

Our Montessori programs include:

• Infant Care (2-24 months): Our infant care program provides a safe and nurturing environment for young children. We prioritize the development of trust and security by providing consistent care, loving interactions, and a predictable routine. Our teachers are trained to respond to each child's individual needs, encouraging their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Early Pre-K (2-3 years old): Our early pre-K program helps young children build a strong foundation for future academic success. We emphasize language development, sensory exploration, and socialization through interactive play. Our teachers guide children in developing practical life skills, such as dressing, eating, and cleaning up, promoting their independence and self-confidence.
• Pre-Kindergarten (3-5 years old): Our pre-K program encourages children to become active learners and critical thinkers. We offer a wide range of hands-on activities that promote literacy, math, and science skills, as well as social and emotional growth. Our teachers use the Montessori method to inspire children's curiosity and creativity, helping them develop a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
• Elementary (5-7 years old): Our elementary program reinforces and builds on the foundation laid in pre-K. We continue to prioritize hands-on learning, critical thinking, and exploration, while also introducing more formal academic instruction in language arts, math, and science. Our teachers work with each child to develop their unique potential, fostering their ability to work independently and collaboratively.
