Our History and Mission

Founded in 1978 by Dan Eckelbarger, The Music Place was one of the first companies to offer DJ entertainment for weddings in the Midwest. Dan, with over 20 years of experience in radio broadcasting as a DJ on WKAM and WZOW, and as a popular club DJ during the disco-era, saw the potential for DJs to provide an alternative to expensive and inflexible live entertainers.

Today, Dan's son Blake is President & Chief Vibe Curator at The Music Place, Inc. He continues the family legacy, maintaining the same principles that have made us successful for over 40 years. We believe in quality, excellence, and reliability. We're not just DJs; we're dedicated professionals who care about making your event unforgettable.
