Our experienced guides, Allen and Colleen, have spent years exploring the mountains on horseback, gaining a deep understanding of the terrain and the unique personalities of our horses. Our Services
Cloud9 Trails offers a range of horseback riding experiences for visitors of all skill levels. Whether you're looking for a leisurely 2-hour ride or a full-day adventure, we have a ride that's perfect for you. Our rides take you through the stunning landscapes of the Pecos Wilderness, with opportunities to see wildlife such as elk, deer, and wild turkeys. We cater to individuals, couples, and groups, ensuring a personalized experience for each guest.
Our Rides
We offer a variety of rides that cater to different interests and skill levels. From our 2-hour Rowe Mesa Ride to our Full-Day Ride - Pecos Baldy Lake, each ride provides a unique glimpse into the beauty of the Santa Fe National Forest. Our knowledgeable guides will share their expertise on the local flora and fauna, ensuring that you not only enjoy the ride but also gain a deeper appreciation for the natural environment.
What to Expect
Before your ride, we'll provide you with saddlebags to carry your water, lunches, and snacks. Please note that we have a 220 lb. weight limit and ask that you wear suitable clothing and footwear. For the safety of both riders and horses, we also recommend bringing a rain jacket and sunscreen. We'll provide you with a hat to protect you from the high-elevation sun.
Booking and Cancellation Policy
We require a 50% deposit to secure your ride date. This deposit is non-refundable, as we reserve the horses specifically for your ride. The remaining 50% can be paid on the morning of your ride. Please book your ride by contacting us to check availability and schedule your ride.
Things to Know
Before your ride, please bring the following items:
- Long pants
- Closed-toe shoes or boots
- A hat for sun protection
- A rain jacket
- A plastic or metal water bottle
- A bagged lunch and snacks (for half-day and full-day rides)
- Extra layers and rain gear
