Honoring Life, One Family at a Time
At Harry H. Witzke's Family Funeral Home, we understand that losing a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences you will ever face. That's why we are committed to providing you with the highest level of care and compassion during this difficult time. Our family-owned and operated funeral home has been serving the Ellicott City community for over 100 years, and we take pride in our reputation for providing personalized and dignified funeral services.
Our Heritage
Our funeral home was founded in 1912 by Harry H. Witzke, and it has been family-owned and operated ever since. We have a long history of serving the community with compassion, kindness, and respect. Our current owners, Sherri Collins-Witzke and her daughter Samantha Logan, are dedicated to continuing the tradition of excellence and compassion that has been passed down through generations.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of funeral services to accommodate the needs of every family. Our services include traditional funerals, cremations, green burials, and memorial services. We also offer pre-arrangement planning, allowing you to make arrangements in advance and spare your loved ones from making difficult decisions during a time of grief. Our facilities are handicapped accessible, all on one level, and have ample parking available. We are conveniently located near several major routes and BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, making it easy for families to gather and say their final goodbyes.
Our Commitment
Our pledge is to offer the best service possible at a reasonable price. We do not offer "funeral packages." Instead, we offer itemized goods and services, allowing you to choose only what you need or want. Our average price for a traditional funeral is $9500.00, not including cash advance items, and $4265.00 for a cremation with no services. If desired, we also offer viewing and services before cremation at an average price of $7,845.00. We are committed to providing you with the highest level of care and compassion, while also being mindful of your budget.
Our Staff
Our staff is comprised of experienced and compassionate funeral directors and staff who are dedicated to helping you through your greatest time of need. We are available 24 hours a day to receive your calls, and our office hours are 7 days a week, 9 am to 4 pm, excluding holidays. We work with all families, regardless of faith, to ensure that every family receives the dignity and respect they deserve.
