Experience Luxurious Texas Hill Country Hospitality

At The Kendall, we take pride in offering a luxurious experience that combines history, charm, and exceptional service. Our mission is to accommodate our guests' desires with care, kindness, and sincerity, providing an unforgettable stay that exceeds their expectations.

Our History

For over 160 years, we have been embedded in local culture, history, and feel. Our story began in 1859 when John James sold the land to Erastus and Sarah Reed for $200. The Reeds built the center section of the inn as their home, introducing the Southern Colonial style of architecture to the Texas Hill Country. Over time, the inn evolved, renting out spare rooms to horsemen and stagecoach travelers. Today, we are a Texas and National Landmark, having sheltered many famous people, including President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Our Accommodations

We offer 34 uniquely designed rooms, each conceived to delight a variety of exquisite palettes. From grand suites to cozy cabins, our rooms provide an exceptional stay that allows our guests to experience Boerne and the Texas Hill Country like never before. Our rooms are designed to provide the utmost comfort, with attention to detail and a focus on luxury.

Dining and Events

Peggy's On The Green, our on-site restaurant, offers contemporary interpretations of Southern heritage foods and classic American dishes in a lovingly restored 19th-century dining room. Our events team is dedicated to providing exceptional service, whether you're planning a wedding, social gathering, or corporate event. We have three versatile venues to choose from, each with its own unique charm and character.

Our Location

The Kendall is distinctively placed along the Cibolo Creek in the heart of Boerne's downtown historic district. Our historic Greek Revival structure provides an exceptional use of space and environment, creating a comfortable experience year-round. Just outside our doors, you'll find the trail head for Cibolo Trail, a beautifully appointed walkway that follows Cibolo Creek and connects to the other end of the Historical District.

Our Promise

At The Kendall, we promise to provide an exceptional stay that exceeds your expectations. We strive to establish honest Texas Hill Country hospitality with a refined devotion to an exceptional stay that leaves our guests fulfilled beyond expectation. We look forward to the joyous moments that allow us to be a part of your story!
