Our Equipment

Houghton Marine operates a state-of-the-art 34-foot aluminum-hulled mooring hauler named the "Iron Eagle." This custom-built vessel, powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines, is designed to handle heavy-duty mooring operations, capable of lifting up to 25,000 pounds. In addition to its primary function of mooring installation and removal, the Iron Eagle has proven invaluable for various other marine tasks, such as:

• Small Boat Salvage: Our mooring hauler has the power and maneuverability to assist in recovering small boats that have become stuck or grounded.

• Dock Lifting for Repair: The Iron Eagle can lift and position docks for routine maintenance and repairs, streamlining the process for boat owners.
