Cheryl A. Underhill, Licensed Professional Counselor, has been dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families for over 26 years. With a background in secondary education, substance abuse counseling, and a Master's in Counseling and Development from Lamar University, she brings a comprehensive approach to her practice. Her expertise includes EMDR Level 1 for trauma and PTSD, as well as experience in EAP counseling. Additionally, she has written a children's book, "Geadons' Gift: Surviving the Loss of Your Pet, " to help with pet loss. Cheryl's practice focuses on cognitive behavioral therapy, incorporating both conventional and alternative approaches to support clients in resolving current issues and long-standing patterns. Her compassionate and interactive style helps clients build on their strengths to achieve life goals. With a deep understanding of the importance of workplace wellness, she also offers on-site crisis intervention counseling and presentations on topics such as workplace stress, drug and substance abuse, and bully survival.
