Our History
Our journey began in 1997, when Dean Pugh started AMWAT with just a pick-up truck and trailer, making local moves out of his spare bedroom. As the business grew, we expanded our operations to include a small warehouse, three moving trucks, and six employees. In 2005, Gloria Pugh joined the company, and her influence played a significant role in our restructuring and securing authority from the United States Department of Transportation to cross state lines. In 2008, we acquired the largest moving company in the area, relocated to a two-warehouse facility, and rebranded to AMWAT Moving Warehousing Storage. We also became an agent for Wheaton World Wide Moving and obtained military facility certification.

At the helm of AMWAT is a dynamic duo, Gloria Pugh, Chief Executive Officer, and Dean Pugh, Chief Operating Officer. This esteemed team has extensive knowledge in moving and warehousing and is committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients. Gloria and Dean are actively involved in the Tallahassee community, serving on various boards and associations, including the Chamber of Commerce, Move For Hunger Advisory Board, and more.
