Founded in 1931, the Grand Rapids Yacht Club (GRYC) stands as a vibrant hub for sailing enthusiasts and casual boaters alike. Nestled on the picturesque Reeds Lake, we've been fostering a sense of community and a passion for the water for over eight decades.

Empowering Young Sailors

Our Junior Sailing program caters to aspiring sailors of all ages, offering them a pathway to develop their skills and embark on their aquatic adventures. We proudly cultivate the next generation of sailors through personalized instruction, hands-on practice, and fun-filled regattas.

Competitive Racing

GRYC boasts six diverse sailing fleets, catering to different experience levels and interests. From the exhilarating speed of the Butterfly Laser to the classic elegance of the Snipe, each fleet offers a unique competitive experience. Throughout the season, members can participate in regular races on Saturdays and Sundays, testing their skills and fostering camaraderie.

Community and Connection

Beyond the competitive spirit, GRYC thrives on fostering a strong sense of community. We host numerous social events and gatherings throughout the year, providing opportunities to connect with fellow members, celebrate milestones, and simply enjoy each other's company against the backdrop of the beautiful Reeds Lake.

Our picturesque clubhouse and grounds are available for rental after Labor Day until Memorial Day. Whether you're planning a family reunion, an elegant wedding reception, or a corporate event, our versatile space and stunning location make for an unforgettable experience.
