Our Story

At That Coffee Roasters, we're a family-owned business with a rich heritage of passion for coffee. Founded in 2011, our journey began when our founder and master roaster, Juan Calderon, brought his family to Miami in the 90s with a vision of opening a coffee roaster. Over the years, we've mastered the art of roasting various types of coffees, creating blends that satisfy our clientele, and sourcing beans from all over the world. Our expertise includes Colombian coffees, Micro-lots, and coffees for espresso drinks.

Our Team

Our team is led by Juan M. Calderon, our founder and master roaster, who has over 50 years of experience in the industry. Lina M. Gomez, our founder and finance & accounting executive, ensures the financial stability of our business. Juan P. Calderon, our master roaster and operations & warehouse manager, oversees the day-to-day operations. Tomas Calderon, our business development and marketing expert, takes care of our marketing and business development.

Roasting and Sourcing

We're truly artisanal coffee roasters that specialize in sourcing wonderful coffees and roasting them to perfection. We consider the work that producers put into quality to bring a unique flavor profile to each batch we roast. Our 1929's Model R6 Jabez Burns & Son's Roaster ensures that we maintain the highest quality standards.

Facilities and Operations

Our facilities are equipped with two roasters, several grinders, and fractional pack and continuous band sealers. We keep our specialty coffees in-house, while our commercial coffees are stored in certified warehouses in the US.

Identity

Our heritage is deeply rooted in the Colombia's Zona Cafetera (coffee growing zone). We love our roots, and some of us grew up between mountains and cities, bringing a rich background connected to the land and people of both urban and rural environments. Our family business, based in South Florida, is dedicated to excellence in service and product, with good coffee and happy customers driving us every day.

Packaging Solutions

We offer a variety of packaging options or allow you to bring your own. Our bags hold from 2 oz to 20 lb of coffee, in several colors and materials. We also offer fractional packs in 2 and 2.5 oz bags in generic and branded bags. You can bring your own labels or bags for your branded packaging.

Shipping

Shipping is easy with us, whether you're across the street or across the country. We work with UPS to ship small and medium-sized package quantities, and various carriers to deliver across the country.
