Together, they designed and built displays for movies being produced in Hollywood, including "The Godfather" and "The Jungle Book." Michael's grandfather retired, but his love for the sign industry lived on through Michael. He opened his own sign shop called The Advertising Art Center, where he continued to hone his craft.
