Since then, he has worked with a talented group of furniture and cabinet makers, growing the business into what it is today. Derstine started as primarily furniture makers but has evolved into a custom furniture and cabinet shop, producing a wide range of handmade furniture and cabinetry that reflect traditional styling with a modern twist.

We use a variety of materials, including pine, poplar, oak, cherry, maple, curly or tiger maple, walnut, birch, and reclaimed barnwood. We also offer a large selection of chairs and benches produced by another Pennsylvania manufacturer, available in solid hardwood and a multitude of styles.

In addition to crafting custom furniture, we also specialize in cabinetry projects that start as a customer's vision. Our team will help put your ideas into design, blending the latest trends with traditional styling. Projects include kitchen, bath vanity, media, office, bookcase, and bar cabinetry. We can also supplement existing cabinetry, duplicating style and finish to create a seamless addition.

We understand the importance of choosing the best materials for your application and helping you find products to match existing finishes. Our finishes include a variety of stain and paint colors, distressed glazed paint, and natural clear products. All finishes are top-coated with clear lacquer or conversion varnish products. To cater to today's growing ecological concerns, we also offer low VOC, water-based stains, paints, and topcoats.
