Our Story

Old Town Driving School was founded in 2013 by Kevin Gahart, a lifelong resident of Alexandria and father of three children who have all benefited from our driving school. Kevin's passion for teaching and his concern for road safety led him to establish a driving school that prioritizes safety, respect, and responsibility. Today, we are proud to have served over 1000 students from the Fairfax, Lorton, and Alexandria areas, and our students have gone on to become confident and capable drivers.

That's why we only hire the most qualified and experienced instructors who share our values of safety, respect, and responsibility. Our instructors are certified by the state of Virginia and have undergone rigorous background checks to ensure a safe and trustworthy learning environment.

We serve students from Fairfax, Lorton, and Alexandria, including students from South County High, Hayfield, Lake Braddock, Edison, St Stephens & St Agnes, Episcopal, Bishop Ireton, TC Williams, West Potomac, and Mt Vernon.
