At Hancock Dermatology, we are dedicated to providing exceptional dermatological care to our patients. Our mission is to make each patient feel more comfortable in their own skin. Our team, led by Dr. Lori Sanford, MD, FAAD, offers a wide range of services to cover all conditions that affect the skin, hair, and nails for residents in Hancock and surrounding counties. We treat patients of all ages from various cities on the east side of Indianapolis.

Our Services

General Dermatology: Our general dermatology services cover a wide range of skin, hair, and nail conditions. Our board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Lori Sanford, treats common and rare diseases including acne, actinic keratosis, autoimmune diseases like lupus, benign growths, birthmarks, bullous diseases or blistering diseases, contact dermatitis or skin allergies, cysts, dandruff, drug reactions, eczema, hair loss and other hair disorders, herpes simplex or cold sores, herpes zoster or shingles, impetigo, moles, nail disorders, occupational skin diseases, pigmented lesions, pseudofolliculitis barbae or razor bumps, psoriasis, rashes, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, sexually transmitted infections, skin cancers like basal cell cancer, squamous cells cancers and melanomas, skin infections caused by bacteria, viruses and fungi, skin tags, ulcers, vitiligo, and warts.

Cosmetic Dermatology: Our board-certified dermatologists offer private and personalized treatment for cosmetic concerns that include wrinkles, photoaging, dark spots, volume loss, and spider veins. We use innovative therapies and procedures for facial and skin rejuvenation, including botulinum toxin (BOTOX) injections, Juvederm dermal fillers, Kybella injections, chemical peels, and lasers to remove unwanted hair, tattoos, vascular birthmarks, and skin discolorations.

Surgical Dermatology: Our physician diagnoses and treats a plethora of skin, hair, and nail conditions using surgical procedures. These conditions include squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma, dysplastic or precancerous moles, and cysts. Our dermatologist is trained to use surgical therapies that include electrodessication and curettage (ED & C) and surgical excision.

Pediatric Dermatology: We also provide specialized care for children, diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the skin, hair, and nails of pediatric patients.

Photodynamic Therapy: Our team offers photodynamic therapy as a treatment option for various skin conditions.
