Our Story

Founded by Claire Gibson, PE, and Matthew Gibson, PhD, PE, Clarity Engineering LLC is a company born out of a passion for geotechnical engineering and a commitment to serving the community. With extensive experience in public works projects and a deep understanding of the political, social, and economic environments that affect projects, we're dedicated to delivering successful projects that meet our clients' needs.

Claire's background in geotechnical engineering spans 20 years, with experience in subsurface characterization and field testing, foundations, deep excavations, seismic hazard studies, slope stability, and levee analysis. As a woman-owned enterprise, we're committed to growing the diversity of geotechnical firms in the region and empowering women in the industry.

Matthew's research experience includes earthquake engineering and seismic rock slope stability methods, as well as numerical analysis in finite element, finite difference, discrete element, and particle flow methods to model various geologic materials.
