Find Hope, Courage, and Strength to Succeed Together
Cyrano's Theatre Company, located in Anchorage, Alaska, is an award-winning theatre that has been producing eclectic and diverse plays for over 32 years. We are a resident company at the Cyrano's Theatre Building at 3800 Debarr Road, where we utilize our 90-seat black box theatre to showcase local artists' talents. Additionally, we feature visual art exhibits from Alaskan artists in our Cyrano's Art Gallery and hold special events in our ArtSpace.
Our mission is to create professional, entertaining, and transformative theatre that inspires a connected community and contributes to a high quality of life. We value passion, artistry, intention, and community, striving for artistic and operational excellence in all that we do. Our commitment to quality is evident in our productions, and we respect the work and each other as we strive to create local, professional theatre of and for Anchorage.
The history of Cyrano's Theatre Company began in the summer of 1987 when Jerry and Sandy Harper opened a bookstore and cafe. Over time, they expanded their offerings to include art shows, music, cinema, and special events, ultimately adding the theatre in 1992. Since then, we have been dedicated to producing award-winning theatre productions with local artists, honoring the high standards established by Jerry and Sandy Harper.
