For over 180 years, The Casselman has been a beacon of hospitality in the heart of Western Maryland. Built in 1842, this historic inn has served as a haven for travelers, offering comfortable rooms, delicious country cuisine, and a warm welcome. Our story begins with Daniel Grant, an English engineer who envisioned a place where weary travelers could rest and recharge. Over the years, we've been known by many names, including Drover's Inn, Farmer's Hotel, Dorsey's Hotel, and finally, The Casselman.

Today, we proudly offer a range of services that cater to the needs of our guests. Our historic inn features comfortable rooms, including the luxurious Dorsey Suite, perfect for special occasions or romantic getaways. Our motel offers 40 cozy rooms, each equipped with modern amenities for a comfortable stay. Guests can also enjoy a delightful meal at our restaurant, serving up country favorites reminiscent of the Pennsylvania Dutch and Amish heritage of our owners.
