Recycling Centers
Our eight recycling centers accept fiber materials, plastics #1 and #2, steel and aluminum cans, and corrugated cardboard. Schools benefit from dedicated collection programs with specialized processing. Centers operate with varying weekly hours across all seven counties.
Reuse Stores
Seven free reuse centers accept clean, gently used items including clothing, books, office supplies, and building materials. All items must be for personal use with no resale permitted. Each location maintains specific operating hours.
HHW Disposal
Household Hazardous Waste program accepts chemicals, pesticides, and mercury-containing items. Jefferson County residents enjoy year-round disposal while other counties have bi-annual collection events. Latex paint requires drying before standard trash disposal.
Shred Program
Secure document shredding service accepts up to three banker boxes per resident. Tamper-proof containers ensure privacy with optional supervised shredding available. Prohibited materials include plastic cards and metal fasteners.
