Our History
Founded by J.G. Johnson in 1898 in North Dakota, our story began when Mr. Johnson sought new opportunities for his family. He found the perfect one when he discovered that Puyallup, Washington was in need of a jeweler and watch repair. Within months, he opened the doors of his first store in downtown Puyallup. In 1958, J.G. turned the store over to his son Walt, who continued the family tradition of service with integrity. In 1980, Walt handed the reins over to his son Robert Johnson and his wife Mary, making them the third generation to manage the family business. Today, Robert and Mary's daughter, Amy Johnson, makes the fourth generation of Johnsons who have devoted themselves to the craft of creating, designing, repairing, and selling fine jewelry and watches.
