Zenie Landscaping Inc. is a family-owned and operated full-service landscape company that has been providing top-quality services to our clients for over 30 years. Our History

Our company was founded by Lawrence Zenie in 1986, but the origin of Zenie Landscaping Inc. goes back many years before that. Lawrence, a Hofstra University graduate, began his career in this industry while serving as a teacher at St. Anges Catholic High School, now known as Kellenberg Memorial High School. In his spare time as a young teacher, Larry cultivated his passion for gardening by planting shrubs and flowers and mowing lawns in his neighborhood of West Hempstead, Long Island. After 10 years, Larry retired from teaching to fully pursue his passion for landscaping and created what is now a thriving family-owned and operated full-service landscape company.

In 2002, Joseph, one of Larry's four sons, joined the company after his graduation from The University of Albany. He had always enjoyed working side by side with his dad as a young child and would now make landscaping a career and passion of his own. Since joining the company, Joe's knowledge and experience has helped Zenie Landscaping grow in ways Larry never thought possible. While the business has changed over the last 30 years, the mission has not. Providing our clients with top-quality service is the only way we do business.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to meet all of your landscaping needs. Our services include landscape design, installation, and maintenance. We also offer seasonal flower and planting displays, pest management, and organic lawn care. We are licensed and insured, and we provide both commercial and residential services.

Our landscape design service includes professional drawings and creative designs. We can help you create the garden of your dreams with foundation plantings, privacy hedges, sod lawns, rock gardens, and retaining walls. We also offer perennial flower gardens, annual flowers, seasonal flower pots, and container plantings. Shrub and tree removal is also available if needed.

Our property maintenance division offers weekly lawn care service, spring and fall cleanups, lawn renovation, seeding, aeration, shrub trimming, tree pruning, fertilizing, pest control, and organic application programs. We also provide mulching services to keep your garden looking its best.

Our landscape construction services include patios and walkways, retaining walls, natural stone wall units, ponds and waterfalls, and various hardscape features such as trellises, pergolas, fountains, etc. We can help you create an outdoor space that is both beautiful and functional.
