Our History

Co-op Credit Union was established in 1940, a time when the co-operative movement was thriving in rural areas. Nine visionaries, passionate about the co-op movement and its impact on people's financial well-being, came together to form the credit union. The organization was chartered by the Minnesota Commerce Department in April 1940, with its original field of membership comprising patrons of several co-ops. Over the years, we have undergone significant changes and additions, but our commitment to our members has remained unwavering. Today, we are proud to offer a wide range of financial services, designed to help our members achieve their goals and dreams.
