Patchwork Plus is a unique gift shop located in Searsmont, Maine, just minutes from coastal Belfast. Our shop is over 1800 sq feet filled with handcrafted items created by 100+ Maine artisans, as well as new and old country decor. New inventory arrives daily, so you never know what treasures you will find.

Patchwork Plus is credited to having one of the largest selections of handmade quilts in Maine. You will find over 200 bed quilts, baby quilts, lap quilts, wall hangings, table runners, place mats, and pot holders. If you are looking for an affordable, one-of-a-kind piece of furniture, you will find local unfinished and refinished cupboards, hutches, side tables, book cases, and benches, as well as re-purposed, primitive, and farmhouse-style furniture and household items and decor.

Our kids' corner will take you back to simpler times where you will find a selection of hand-carved children's toys, rocking horses, doll furniture, 18 doll clothes, kids' crafting kits, hand-knitted baby sweaters, mittens, hats, and booties. There really is something for everyone!

Our History

30 years ago, Denise Bryant built a small two-story shop selling antiques and her handmade quilts. As time went on and she found her niche, Denise expanded the shop two more times in order to keep up with the demands of her growing customer base. Not only were the locals enjoying what the shop had to offer, she was attracting customers from all over the state of Maine and afar. Maine crafters were also approaching her looking for a place to showcase their work.

After going strong for 30 years, Denise had been exploring the possibility of retiring. However, she wanted to find the right person who would keep the shop running similar to how it has been all of these years. During the off-season of 2016, Denise made the jump and sold the shop to Angel Farris, a longtime customer who loved the idea of turning something old or unwanted into something useful again.

Angel purchased the shop with the intention of keeping things just how they have been for the last 30 years and started working right away, reaching out to crafters and familiarizing herself with the inventory. With some minor visual changes made, you will continue to find unique country crafts by over 100 Maine artisans. Inventory changes frequently, and prices are kept low. If you don't find what you are looking for, stop in again to see what else is new. We will do our best to help you find your one-of-a-kind treasure.

Shipping is available, so no worries if you have limited space while traveling. And if you're unable to visit Patchwork Plus in person, Patchwork Plus will work with you until you are comfortable with making your purchase. Due to quilts being one of a kind and inventory changing frequently, a gallery is not available for viewing.
