Our Story

Pacific Coast Electrical Contractors (PCEC) was founded in 1993 with a commitment to responsible business practices, respect for our customers, employees, partners, and a dedication to delivering high-quality projects. Over the years, we have successfully completed a variety of projects including schools, universities, fire stations, and more. Our continued growth and adaptability have allowed us to evolve and expand our services to meet the changing needs of our clients.

Our team is led by family people who care about what they do and value the relationships they build. From the President to the newest member, everyone is committed to delivering exceptional results. Our focus on K-12 school projects has given us a deep understanding of the needs and challenges of these ventures.

Meet the Team

Our team includes David Blackburn, President and Co-Founder, who has built strong relationships with everyone he works with and has taught at the University of Washington. Rick Rothermel, Vice President and Co-Founder, brings over 21 years of experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, and Foreman Electrician. Joe Rodriguez, Senior Operations and Project Manager, has been with PCEC since 2006 and is known for his calm and collected problem-solving skills. Christina Rodriguez, Office Manager and Bookkeeper, has been with the company since 2014 and is proficient in accounting and office operations. Scott Driscoll, Project Manager and Estimator, is passionate about his job and enjoys teaching others. Ryan McBride, Project Manager and Service Department Head, has years of experience in the electrical construction industry.
