At Restaurant Alba, we strive to provide a unique dining experience that combines the best of local, seasonal ingredients with contemporary cuisine in a sophisticated yet comfortable setting. Our owners, Sean and Kelly Weinberg, are a husband and wife team who are deeply involved in every aspect of the restaurant. Sean, who grew up in his parents' restaurant, the Rose Tattoo Cafe in Philadelphia, knew at an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in culinary arts. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, and then completed an externship in Los Angeles at the Checkers Hotel under the renowned restaurateur, Thomas Keller. Sean also spent two years in Northern Italy, where he worked in various restaurants, including Il Cibreo of Florence and Al Covo of Venice, which are both highly acclaimed in the international culinary scene. He has extensive work experience in Mexico and throughout the American West, and he served as the Executive Chef at the Rose Tattoo Cafe for five years before opening Restaurant Alba.

Chef Sean's culinary style focuses on seasonal ingredients and emphasizes simple preparation techniques that allow the true flavors of the food to shine. He uses a state-of-the-art wood-burning grill to cook dishes, which adds a unique smoky flavor to each meal. This approach to cooking is inspired by the countryside of Europe, where meals are often prepared over an open flame.

Kelly, who was raised in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, has a background in international studies and Spanish from American University in Washington, D.C. She has worked in restaurants since 1990, gaining experience in every aspect of front-of-the-house operations. Kelly has also traveled extensively, including trips to Costa Rica and Spain, and she worked as the General Manager of the Rose Tattoo Cafe for four years before joining Sean at Restaurant Alba.

The Weinbergs' love of travel and exploration has greatly influenced their views on food and culture, and they aim to bring a sense of adventure and discovery to every dining experience at Restaurant Alba. Whether you are a local resident or just visiting the area, we invite you to join us for a meal and experience the unique blend of flavors and atmosphere that we have to offer.

Our Services

At Restaurant Alba, we offer a variety of services to make your dining experience as enjoyable and convenient as possible. Our menu features a range of dishes that cater to different tastes and dietary preferences, from appetizers and salads to entrees and desserts. We also offer a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, including our signature "Hour of Happiness" specials on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

In addition to our regular dinner service, we also offer Saturday lunch reservations from 12:00pm to the last seating at 2:30pm. We understand that not everyone can make it to the restaurant for a sit-down meal, so we also offer takeout orders for Friday and Saturday nights. Our last pick-up time for takeout orders is 6:00pm.

For special occasions or large groups, we can accommodate party requests and offer gift cards for those who want to share the Restaurant Alba experience with friends and family. We also have outside dining available for those who prefer to enjoy their meal in the fresh air.
