Our Story

Blu Gorilla's journey began when Hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans, leading Alyx to relocate to Charleston and turn his passion for art into a career as a tattoo artist. Over the years, Tim has been instrumental in building the shop's reputation, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and fostering a team of talented artists. Our shop has evolved significantly since those early days, but our commitment to excellence, creativity, and customer satisfaction remains unwavering.

Tattoo Aftercare

Proper aftercare is crucial for ensuring the health and appearance of your new tattoo. We provide guidelines and recommendations to help you care for your tattoo during the healing process. Remember to take off your bandage after an hour, gently wash with your fingertips, and apply a thin layer of non-scented lotion 1-2 times a day. Avoid picking or scratching at your tattoo, and refrain from direct sunlight and water for the time being.
