Unlocking Financial Success with Trusted Tax Partners

Southern Oregon Soccer Academy (S.O.S.A) is a volunteer-operated youth sports organization dedicated to providing opportunities for young individuals to learn valuable soccer and life skills. We serve Kinder through age 19 participants and offer fall, winter, and spring soccer opportunities. Our purpose is to foster development within Jackson County, including Phoenix, Talent, south-east Medford, and rural communities.

At S.O.S.A, we believe in building life-long players and quality citizens, as well as bringing our local communities together through soccer skill development. We offer recreational teams that play other local teams in our area, with practices held in the Phoenix/Talent area. Our fall teams are finalized by mid-August, and coaches will contact all players as soon as teams are created. Once teams are finalized, each coach will decide on their teams' practice days and times, with practices held twice a week and games on Saturdays.

Competitive Soccer

For those looking for a more challenging environment, S.O.S.A offers competitive soccer opportunities. Our competitive teams participate in local leagues and tournaments, providing a higher level of competition and skill development. Competitive tryouts are held annually, and registration opens this Friday for the upcoming season. The tryouts will be on June 22, 2024, and advance registration is required.

Volunteer Opportunities

As a volunteer-operated organization, S.O.S.A relies heavily on the support of parents, community members, and local businesses. We offer various volunteer opportunities, including coaching, refereeing, and administrative support. We encourage all parents to consider volunteering to coach, as it's an excellent way to get involved and help shape the future of our young players. No experience is required, and we provide all necessary training and support.

Refereeing

We are always looking for student referees for our fall season. Referees play a vital role in ensuring games are played fairly and safely. It's an excellent opportunity for students to earn some extra money while having fun. Games will be primarily in the Phoenix-Talent area, and referees must be at least 12 years old. Contact Xavier Valdes at 541-261-1199 for more information.

Sponsors and News

We are grateful for the support of our local sponsors, who help make it possible for us to offer affordable soccer opportunities to our community. We regularly feature our sponsors on our website and social media channels, highlighting the vital role they play in supporting youth sports.

We also regularly update our website with news and announcements, including upcoming events, registration deadlines, and game schedules. Be sure to check back regularly for the latest information.

Thank you for considering Southern Oregon Soccer Academy for your child's soccer needs. We look forward to seeing you on the field!
