Curriculum & Approach

KJPAS offers a rigorous but supportive curriculum that covers a wide range of theatrical disciplines. From foundational vocal technique and song analysis to advanced monologue work, audition techniques, and character development, students are equipped with the tools they need to excel.

The program also delves into the practical aspects of the industry, including cold-reading techniques, musical theatre history, sight-singing and ear training, improvisation, and the business of acting. Students learn how to craft compelling resumes and headshots, and gain valuable insights into the audition process. Beyond the Studio

KJPAS provides numerous opportunities for students to showcase their skills and build their experience. Each summer, the studio hosts a week-long intensive program featuring renowned Broadway performers who share their expertise and offer masterclasses. In addition, KJPAS offers virtual coaching sessions for students who are unable to attend in-person classes but still seek professional guidance. The studio also houses a fully-equipped self-taping studio, allowing students to create high-quality audition reels and submissions for film and television projects.
